Beaverkill River, Willowemoc Creek, and the Delaware River System

Today will be a high of 57 and overcast with some wind. Yesterday i saw a significant Hendrickson hatch but no fish were feeding on the surface till after the hatch, some dark caddis were also out. At any time we should start to see rising trout on the Beaverkill and the Willowemoc the Hendrickson is the first major hatch that gets fish feeding on the top. On the West Branch of the Delaware be on the look out for Quill Gordon’s, Blue Quills, and Hendricksons.  With the fishing starting to pick up there will be a lot more fisherman on the water, on the Beaverkill I've found that the river fishes the same in most spots and the best fishing is almost always where you can get away from other fisherman. Same goes for the Willowemoc and all sections of the Delaware river system if you need advice about where to fish, stop by the shop we are always happy to help.

GUIDE RECOMENDED FLY'S: Hendrickson Klinkhammer (Sz 12-14), Hendrickson Comparadun (Sz 12-14),Elk Hair Caddis (Black Sz 14-16), Hares Ear (Natural Sz 14-18), Mylar Prince (Black Sz 16), HS Pheasant tail Jig (Orange Sz 16-18), Frenchie (Shrimp pink Sz 16-18), Fulling Mill Perdigon (Black or Purple Sz 16-18), Spanish Bullet Jig (Silver Sz 16-18), Jiggy Pats (Black and Brown Sz 10-16)
